Story

We were at Camp Caroli in Jukkasjärvi for two nights, it is situated not far from Kiruna and at a very dark spot which is ideal for aurora hunting. With temperatures around -28°C it was going to be some frozen nights at the lake, but nevertheless we would want to continue our winning streak of aurora observations and with these two nights we can say we have seen the northern lights every night of our stay with 4 amazing nights to remember. This night started with a static aurora band but again the data looked very good with steady southward Bz so it was yet again waiting for a substorm to happen on the magnetometers. and oh yeah did we get one, very fast moving aurora which got very bright with greens very good visible and white and violet below, it was very amazing to see it move like that. Some other tourists at the lake were ecstatic and going wild when the aurora was wild. Definitely one of the best nights ever! However some high clouds came in which did ruin it a bit but nevertheless an amazing night!
