Was sitting by the beach and noticed some weird looking clouds. I was staring at them for a long time and realized they looked similar to an aurora. I pulled out my phone to take a picture and suddenly saw the green and red rays. It stood like that for a long time with rays coming in and out. At one point a ray got so bright that the colors were easily visible to the naked eye and it spread and got dim really quick. Then it slowly got a lot more dim, almost invisible without a camera, for a while before brightening back up.
