Story

Ever since I moved to the Baltic coast and settled at Villa Nova Dębki, I have dreamed of witnessing the Northern Lights from Poland. Back then, aurora hunting wasn't as popular as it is today. I spent countless hours monitoring data on SpaceWeatherLive.com and following the insights of science communicator Karol Wójcicki.

My journey truly began 12 years ago when I successfully "hunted" my first aurora right from the beach in Dębki. It was a magical moment that started a lifelong passion. Since then, whenever my work at the Villa NOVA apartments allows and the solar parameters look promising, I rush out to the shore.

Over the years, I’ve had many opportunities to observe the aurora—mostly through the camera lens, but also several times with the naked eye. It’s always a breathtaking experience. This photo was captured using an iPhone 13 Pro Max. You can find more of my captures on our website www.novadebki.pl and on our social media profiles. You are more than welcome to visit and take a look!
